Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar on Monday stated that the issue of Baloch families was being “negatively projected”, saying that it was in sharp contrast to the reality as Balochs were standing with the state of Pakistan In response to media queries, during his visit to the Business Facilitation Centre in Lahore, PM Kakar highlighted the involvement of terrorists and armed militants in the killing of the people of Balochistan, including doctors, lawyers, and teachers. He asserted that the state would use all available force to combat these elements, emphasising that they could not be allowed a license to kill people. The caretaker prime minister expressed regret over criticism from a section of the media, clarifying that the government was not in conflict with Baloch families. He attributed the confusion to efforts aimed at distorting the narrative. Kakar mentioned that the issue had been blown out of proportion, adding that the terrorists are receiving funding from the Indian spy agency RAW and killing people in the province. He also called for improvements in the criminal justice system of the country. Addressing concerns about freedom of expression, Kakar reassured that there were no restrictions in place. In response to questions regarding an alleged firing incident in DI Khan involving the vehicles of Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Amir of JUI-F, he expressed concern about the situation, emphasising that the government was responding to security threats in the southern parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa with all available resources. The caretaker prime minister affirmed the commitment to utilising all resources and security apparatus to ensure peaceful polls on the election date. He expressed optimism about the government's success in this regard.
